The Rhode Island Small Business Advisory Council, chaired by Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts and made up of governmental and small business leaders in the state, is having a meeting at 8 A.M. tomorrow (February November 20) at the offices of the Rhode Island Department of Administration (One Capitol Hill in Providence). The topic of the meeting is stimulus funds for small businesses. The Council’s press release indicates that the meeting will be geared towards: “Small business owners who have questions about what stimulus programs they can apply for, who to contact about stimulus funds or what services may be available to small business through the stimulus package.” The press release can be found in full here.
I won’t be able to attend tomorrow morning, but I’m curious to hear what programs the government is offering to help small businesses weather the current economic storm. If anyone attends, please drop me a line and let me know how it goes.
